Devin Williams Obituary, Death – On Monday, a former sheriff’s deputy in Alameda County named Devin Williams Jr. entered a not guilty plea to accusations that he was responsible for the September shooting deaths of his girlfriend and her husband. Before the police arrived at the couple’s house in the 3100 block of Colebrook Lane in Dublin at 12:45 a.m.
On September 7, the suspect, a 24-year-old guy from Stockton, is said to have shot the victim couple in the head and neck. The victims were identified as Benison Tran, 57, and Maria Tran, 42. When the authorities arrived, they discovered the Trans suffering from what seemed to be gunshot wounds. Both victims were pronounced dead at the residence when emergency medical personnel arrived, despite the fact that they had been transported there.
Williams was named as the shooter by witnesses who were present. Deputy sheriffs arrived on the scene and overheard an unidentified family member saying “Devin” and “He is a cop.” After the shootings, Williams is said to have fled the scene, but detectives checked film from car-plate readers, which showed a gray Volkswagen sedan with the license plate 6MEA916 going south on Fallon Road in Dublin at 12:46 a.m. on the day of the shootings.
The residence of the couple is soon going to be connected to Interstate Highway 580 via Fallon Road. Because Williams had called Dublin Police Chief Garrett Holmes at 11:07 a.m. to end his flight, the authorities did not have to conduct too lot more searching than they already had. “We received a call from the suspect and he wanted to turn himself in,” said Detective Holmes.
And so we were able to have a conversation with him, and during that conversation, we were able to keep him on the phone line and direct the CHP units down to the area near Coalinga and safely take the suspect into custody.” Williams turned himself in to officials of the California Highway Patrol just after noon in Coalinga, which is approximately 147 miles away from Dublin. According to the evidence filed in court, blood was allegedly discovered in the Volkswagen.
